Splinter Cell Remake Reveal

 
 

Brief

Following an existing storyboard and using the provided goggles asset, create 2 short videos for social platforms. Both videos will have a hiring call to action, with the extended one listing available jobs.

commentary

The short video was published to Ubisoft’s main Twitter account and racked up ~550,000 views in the first week. Both videos totalled over 1 million social media impressions over multiple platforms within the first month.

The goggles and night vision effect are core elements of the Splinter Cell iconography. I studied the provided assets and took the project in a “gritty digital” visual direction.

The project was directed by the associate director of communications and the (then) art director on Splinter Cell Remake. The video lead helped me with technical aspects. A sound designer created the soundtrack. The graphic designer helped lay out the copy, and a bunch of others were involved in one way or another. Needless to say, this project went through many hands and was seen by many eyes before release.
